Where Possibility Lives

Chicago Youth Centers creates safe spaces for young people to learn, grow, and imagine their futures.

What We Do

For over 70 years, we've provided quality early learning and out-of-school enrichment to thousands of young people across Chicago's South and West sides.

  • Early Learning: Quality classrooms for ages 15 months–5 years, building social, emotional, and academic foundations.
  • After-School Programs: Hands-on clubs, tutoring, mentorship, and skill-building activities five days a week.
  • Summer Enrichment: Day camps designed to keep youth engaged, healthy, and excited about learning.
  • Education Support: Academic coaching and pathways to future success in jobs and college.

Our Mission

The Goal

To provide high-quality early learning and out-of-school time enrichment in under-resourced neighborhoods, holistically supporting children of all ages, their families, and their communities.

The Impact

Every child deserves equitable access to the resources, experiences, safe spaces, and mentors that they need to live each day as their best selves and build the future they envision.

Serving Seven Communities

With centers in Bridgeport, Bronzeville, Humboldt Park, North Lawndale, Riverdale, South Shore, and Calumet Heights, we're present where we're needed most.

  • Every center is designed to reflect and serve its local community.
  • Programs are developed with input from families and neighbors.
  • We partner with schools, local organizations, and civic leaders.
